We couldn’t be more thrilled to be heading back to the southern Pacific coast of Oaxaca to the extraordinary stretch of beach just north of Puerto Escondido. We’ll be retreating once again at neighboring Casa Bacana and Casa Marena, two award-winning architectural masterpieces that are the embodiment of what we like to call “tropical Brutalism”. A fusion of clean, concrete geometry with the lush environment; a constant communion with nature and the sea.

Oaxaca is often referred to as Mexico’s ‘last coast’. The rugged Sierra Sur mountains serve as a backdrop to a jagged coastline of beautiful bays and inlets. The various indigenous civilizations of Oaxaca along with a heavy Spanish influence has created a vibrant mestizo culture known for its timeless arts and handicrafts.

Come join us for five days of movement a la playa, leisurely dips in the pool and the sea, and daily aventuras along this truly majestic coastline. We will enjoy traditional Oaxacan cuisine with a hippy flair, an inspiring trip to world renown Casa Wabi, and a sound bath & cacao ceremony with local healer Ximena Miranda.

TRAVEL INFO

+ Airfare + transport not included — Casa Bacana & Casa Marena are located 30 minutes north of Puerto Escondido. Book your flight into Puerto Escondido (PXM) and then plan on renting a car for the drive up the coast, or alternatively, we can help to arrange transportation to / from the airport.

+ The retreat will commence at 5:00pm on Monday, March 10th and will come to a close at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 15th. Please plan your flights accordingly, keeping the 30 minute transfer from the airport in mind.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Beautiful Nomad does not offer refunds of any kind for the retreat deposit. Refunds for the balance payments vary depending on timing. Should you need to cancel before Jan 8th, 50% of the total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. Finally, under no circumstance will there be any refunds given for cancellation requests made within 60 days of the retreat start date (after January 9th). Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. We do not offer refunds or credit for a guest who fails to attend, arrives late, or leaves early.

Naturally, no one books with the intention of cancelling or postponing their retreat, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider purchasing travel insurance. 

If Beautiful Nomad must cancel a booked retreat date for any reason, you may transfer your full retreat payment to another retreat, or you may request a refund of your payment amount (less the deposit which can be applied to another retreat) to your original payment method. Beautiful Nomad is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
